At Dermatology Partners, caring for our patients also means raising awareness of conditions that may be less common but deeply impactful. On February 28, we join the global community in recognizing Rare Disease Day, a worldwide effort dedicated to improving understanding, access to care, and support for people living with rare diseases.
What is Rare Disease Day?
Established in 2008, Rare Disease Day shines a light on the challenges faced by individuals and families affected by rare conditions. Observed each year on February 28 (or February 29 in leap years—the rarest day of all), it serves as a global call to action for equity in healthcare, diagnosis, and treatment.
