New Practice Opens July 7, 2025 and Will Be Led by Board-Certified Dermatologist and Mohs Micrographic Surgeon, Dr. Bharath Balu
Chambersburg, PA (6/18/25) – Dermatology Partners, a premier privately owned and physician-led dermatology group, will open a new office in Chambersburg, representing a significant expansion for the Pennsylvania-headquartered practice.
The new clinic, located at 1942 Scotland Avenue, Chambersburg, will be led by Bharath Balu, PhD, MD, FAAD, a Board-Certified Dermatologist & Fellowship-Trained Mohs Surgeon. He further specialized with a Dermatology residency and a fellowship in Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology (MSD) at Geisinger Health.
His educational background also includes a PhD in Infectious Diseases from the University of Notre Dame and a Master’s degree in Medical Biotechnology.With over two decades of research experience, Dr. Balu has co-authored more than 25 peer-reviewed publications. His academic achievements are complemented by a U.S. patent for a genetic tool used in malaria research, showcasing his innovative scientific contributions.Dr. Balu is an active member of professional organizations such as the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, the American College of Mohs Surgery, and the International Society of Dermatology.
