Dr. Daniel Shurman, a native of Pennsylvania, attended Temple University School of Medicine. He completed his dermatology training at Thomas Jefferson University both in Philadelphia. Dr. Shurman then attended a fully accredited fellowship in both Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Procedural Dermatology at the Dermatologic Surgery Center.
The focus of Dr. Shurman's practice is the treatment of Cutaneous Neoplasms using the Mohs Micrographic technique. Dr Shurman’s primary interest is in the area of facial reconstructive surgery, managing the repair of complex cutaneous defects.
Dr. Shurman is board-certified in Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery and his research interests include medical genetics, antibiotics in dermatologic surgery, and wound healing. He has published many peer-reviewed articles on these topics and wishes to continue to contribute to the advancement of his specialty. Dr. Shurman treats patients ages 18 and up.
Dr. Shurman has been featured in the Philadelphia Business Journal, 422 Business Advisor, Dermatology Times, and Healthcare IT News. He also contributes a dermatology-related column in the Reading Eagle. In addition to his love of caring for patients, Dr. Shurman is an avid tennis player, loves exercise and most of all, enjoys spending time with his wife Julie, and children Alexa, Jesse, and Blake.
