Raised in Bucks County, PA, Dr. Daria Marley Kemp lived in Philadelphia for 10 years where she attended medical school at Thomas Jefferson University, and completed her preliminary medicine year at Lankenau Medical Center followed by dermatology residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. While at Jefferson, her research study treating Basal Cell Carcinoma received the Stelwagon Clinical Research Award in Dermatology (first prize) from the Philadelphia College of Physicians’ Dermatology Section and the Everett C. Fox Memorial Award (third prize) from the American Academy of Dermatology.
Her interests in dermatologic oncology and surgery were fostered by her father, Wayne Marley M.D., and enhanced during her fellowship in Mohs Micrographic Surgery at the Dermatologic SurgiCenter in Drexel Hill, PA. During this fully accredited American College of Mohs Surgery and ACGME fellowship program, she received advanced training in skin cancer surgery, including Mohs for melanoma, and reconstruction techniques.
Prior to attending medical school, she was a staff chemist at Merck & Co in Rahway, NJ and co-inventor on 2 pharmaceutical patents. Later, she obtained her Masters in Education from NC State and was a chemistry and biology teacher at Notre Dame High School in Lawrenceville, NJ, her alma mater.
Dr. Marley Kemp enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 young children, in addition to making pizza on the grill, and playing golf with her husband and dad.
