Dr. Adel Haque was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia with his parents and 5 siblings. He attended Georgia Tech on a full scholarship where he majored in Biochemistry and Chemistry and minored in chemical engineering, graduating with highest honors, the president's award and a community service recognition. After graduation, he attended the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta where he served on the Honor Council, worked as an anesthesia technician and was recognized for being in the top 5% of his class in academics and board examination scores. He completed his internship transitional year at Gwinnett Medical Center in Atlanta and went on to complete his residency at the University of South Florida in Tampa. There he earned awards as the resident teacher of the year, surgery resident of the year, cosmetics resident of the year, a USF service award for outstanding community service and an award as an institutional culture champion for his dedication to improving the life of his patients, peers, and program.
Originally descending from India, he brings a sense of camaraderie into every patient encounter and treats every patient as if they were a part of his family. He is known for listening to his patients and spending lots of time getting to know them and their dermatologic conditions and also looking at them holistically. He loves treating complex medical dermatology patients from CTCL to blistering diseases, psoriasis, acne, eczema and the like. He is also an avid surgeon having done over a thousand Mohs cases in his residency. Finally, he is also skilled in cosmetics training ranging from treating benign lesions to Botox to fillers and more.
When not in the clinic, you can find him on a basketball court, spending time with his family, traveling, and volunteering around the city.
