Board-Certified Dermatologist
Christina Sun, MD is a board-certified dermatologist with advanced training in dermatopathology. She is currently completing her fellowship at the University of Florida after finishing her dermatology residency at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia. Prior to her dermatology residency, Dr. Sun completed a transitional year internship at St. Luke's University Hospital in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
Dr. Sun earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley, where she graduated with high distinction.
Throughout her academic and professional career, Dr. Sun has contributed extensively to dermatology research. She has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications in journals such as Dermatology Online Journal, JAAD Case Reports, Skinmed, and Cureus, covering a wide range of topics including autoimmune skin conditions, dermatopathologic findings, and novel treatment approaches. She has also presented original research at national dermatopathology conferences.
Dr. Sun has a strong background in teaching and mentorship. She has developed dermatology elective curricula, led peer tutoring programs, and served as a co-leader for Women in Medicine. Additionally, she is deeply committed to community service, volunteering with underinsured patients and organizing health education initiatives for underserved communities.
In her free time, Dr. Sun enjoys hiking, cooking, exploring new cuisines, traveling, and connecting with people through their stories.
